The new Super Sets have been designed as great starter sets that invite children - and mass retailers - to sample the PLAYMOBIL® experience. Supersets are centered around multi-functional base plates, or "playscapes" as they will be called in English. They come in 4 action-packed flavours: Knights, Pirates, Farm and Construction.

The accessories that come with each set are complementary to the base plate: on the farm superset's (3124) base plate, you can actually plant Cauliflowers and other vegetables in the little garden. In the pool, there is room for a duck family to swim, and the goats can roam quietly in the grass.


 

All Super Sets are packed in an easy to carry suitcase style box with a plastic handle, similar to those used for most Playmobil® 1-2-3 sets. The boxes for the US market vary slightly from those of other markets. They have a more glossy kind of cart board and have small comments added on the front cover. Super Sets are also more appropriately called 'Starter

Super Sets will probably make for good sales, because they offer a complete play scene for a fairly low price.
